The Division of Training &
Malariology with its trained manpower and well
established infrastructure conducts National and
International training courses in Malariology.It supports the National
Anti Malaria Programme (NAMP) by training the state/district
level malaria officers from all over the country.The division
is also fully equipped to undertake vector borne disease out
break investigations, especially malaria in different parts of
the country and suggest control measures.The malaria clinic of
the division examines & cross-examines blood slides for
the presence of malaria, parasites from patients referred by
hospitals, and from the slides collected during outbreak
investigations.The division also organises short training
courses for CHS officers/M.D. (PSM) students and the Nursing
Students.
The institution has been identified as WHO collaborative
centre for training in Malariology for WHO fellows from
SEAR countries and during the year 2000 an International
Training Course in Malariology was conducted from
3rd November to 30th November 2000 in which
participants from Bangladesh, Mayanmar, Nepal and India had
attended the course.
Services beneficiaries (Institute & Individuals)
The malaria laboratory cum clinic of the division
provides free diagnostic service to all institution &
individuals who report here for the laboratory diagnosis of
malarial parasite.
During the year 2000, the following institutions benefited
from the diagnostic facility of the division:

pant Hosp., CGHS dispensaries, Lady Harding Medical
College, Smt. Sucheta Kriplani Hosp., Patel Chest
